Marble

What is marble?

Marble is an organic limestone sedimentary rock consisting mainly of calcite, which may contain dolomite inclusions. Marble was formed under certain temporary, temperature and physico-chemical conditions. This is the result of a process known as metamorphosis. By its very nature, marble is crystallized limestone.

Marble finishes and applications

In construction practice, marble is used as a finishing stone for the manufacture of countertops, spreading stairs, floors, exterior decoration of buildings and interior decoration. Also marble is used for making monuments (monumental sculptures and tombstones), used for stone mosaics, flower pots and balustrades, columns. Marble is also used to create mosaic compositions, reliefs and round sculptures. Marble is used in combination with granite for decoration of fireplaces and fountains.This is a great option for creating an aesthetic look.
